学科4年生有志により制作されたパビリオン。学内コンペで優勝し意匠の責任者として意匠・構法・配信を主に担当した。金属ワイヤーで張られたボロノイ網からオーガンジー布を垂らした「ボロノイ膜体」のパビリオンであり、①コロナ禍パーティションからの連想、②水中のような体験、③建築の「モノ性」と「ハコ性」の狭間、の3つをコンセプトとして設計した。
数百の全てユニークなオーガンジーのピースを正確に切り出すため、プロジェクターを利用して墨出しするなど、制作方法についても多くの工夫を行なった。
9月に延期されたオンライン五月祭に合わせて建設されたが、コロナ感染防止対策として学外者が来場することが禁止されたため、バーチャル東大ワールドにパビリオンの3Dモデルを設置し、そこから複数台の全天球カメラによる実物パビリオンのライブ配信を鑑賞できるようにすることで、webベースであっても五月祭に「訪れた」という体験を生み出すことを試みた。

Pavilion created by volunteers of 4th year students. I won the competition within the university, and as the person in charge of the design, I was mainly responsible for the design, construction, and delivery. The pavilion is a "Voronoi membrane body" of organdie fabric hanging from a Voronoi net strung with metal wires, and was designed based on three concepts: 1) the idea of acrylic partitions to prevent COVID-19 infection, 2) an underwater-like experience, and 3) the gap between the "mono-ness" and "hako-ness" of architecture.
Many innovations were made in the production method, such as using a projector to mark the hundreds of unique organdie pieces in order to cut them out precisely.
The pavilion was built to coincide with the online May Festival, which was postponed to September, but off-campus visitors were prohibited from coming to the pavilion as a measure to prevent COVID-19 infection.
We set up a 3D model of the pavilion in the Virtual UTokyo World, from which visitors could view a live feed of the actual pavilion via multiple 360° cameras, in order to create the experience of "visiting" the May Festival, even if it was web-based.
